At Loudon, N.H., at the Bryar Motorsport Park, it was much the same Ford story except that it was George Follmer who ended up in the winner's circle instead of Parnelli Jones. Parnelli had led off before he had a flat, worked his way up to 2nd and then dropped out after losing his hood. It was Swede Savage who made his race, though, as he won the pole in his AAR 'Cuda and then led after Jones pitted to get a new tire and continued in the lead until a balky transmission caused him to overrev in lap 33, Peter Revson and Mark Donohue ran 2nd and 3rd at the finish but were three laps behind when it was over.
